چکیده
With the rapid development of industrialization, amount copper-containing wastewater is increasing, thereby posing a threat to aquatic ecological environment and human health. Sludge biochar has received extensive concern in recent years due its advantages low cost sustainability for treatment heavy-metal-containing wastewater. However, heavy-metal-adsorption capacity sludge limited. This study prepared sodium pyrophosphate- (Na4P2O7-) modified municipal sludge-based (SP-SBC) evaluated adsorption performance Cu(II). Results showed that SP-SBC had higher yield, ash content, pH, Na P surface roughness than original sewage (SBC). The Cu(II)-adsorption was 4.55 times SBC at room temperature. For Cu(II) by SP-SBC, kinetics isotherms conformed pseudo-second-order model Langmuir–Freundlich model, respectively. maximum 38.49 mg·g−1 35°C. primarily involved ion exchange, electrostatic attraction, precipitation. desired fixed-bed column experiment indicated can be reused good application potential treat Overall, this provided desirable sorbent removal, as well new simple chemical-modification method enhance capacity.

This study investigated the characteristics of using a cost-effective, amine-modified biochar (BC) derived from chicken manure for removing dimethyl sulfide (DMS) from an aqueous solution. The amine-modified BC showed much higher adsorption of DMS compared to commercial activated carbons under varying conditions of contact time, initial concentration, and adsorbent dosage. The DMS removal effic...
